The register states what an authority did. The blog is where people who work in African medicines regulation, pharmacy, manufacturing, testing and supply say what they think about it. Every piece is signed by a named author whose standing was checked and whose interests are declared under their byline.
This is opinion, and the register is not. Nothing on this page is a regulatory action, and nothing written here changes a record. Where a post cites the register, it links to the record and the record stands unaltered. The register is here.
Nothing has been published here yet. The blog opened before its first post because the standards it will be held to — who may write, at what length, and what has to be declared — are worth publishing before there is anything to defend.

Who writes here
Anyone who works in the field and will put their name to it: regulatory affairs, pharmacy practice, pharmacovigilance, clinical medicine, manufacturing and quality, procurement, laboratory testing, health journalism, law and policy, academia, civil society.
Standing is checked against something a stranger could check too — a council registration, an ORCID, a staff page, published work. Not a job title alone.
What we ask for
- Comment — 600–1000 words
- Analysis — 1000–2200 words
- A real name, and a role a reader can place
- Interests declared, printed under every piece
- Claims about a company sourced to a published decision
