Corrections log
Every correction to a record or an article, timestamped, linked to what it amends, and mirrored in that record’s own version history. Records are superseded, never deleted.

Corrections and normalisations are different things
Where an authority publishes something ambiguous — mixed date formats in one column, expiry dates packed into a batch cell — the resolution is logged as a normalisation on the record, not as a correction. A correction means we were wrong. The two are kept apart so neither is diluted.
Raising one
An authority, a manufacturer or a reader can raise a correction against any record. The record’s reference number is the only thing needed to identify it, and it never changes.
